If you do not understand any instruction or a question, please ask before the work is due. You will need to provide a specific description of the difficulty. For example, “I don’t know what happened to get from step 3 to step 4.”
Grade Corrections
If you discover a mistake in any graded work, please bring it to the attention of the instructor as soon as possible.
Attendance
Because the course is based on presentations in class attendance is vital. If you will be required to miss class for university business, including but not limited to athletics, music, or debate, please inform the instructor at the beginning of the semester or session.
If you have more than four absences you may be removed from the course. Should the last date of your class attendance be required, it will be determined by the last date of any material submitted by you for recording in the class grade record. The date of last attendance may impact financial aid.
Late Work
Due to the complexity of this material it will be difficult to recover from getting behind on assignments. If you know ahead of time you will miss classes, contact the instructor for material to study. If you miss class unexpectedly, contact the instructor immediately to discuss how you can learn any material that you missed.
Courtesy
Courtesy in a class is important for learning. Remember students and instructors come from varied cultures and backgrounds: be mindful of others as you interact.
