Preface Preface

This is an inquiry based learning (IBL) problem set designed to introduce mathematics majors with a background in proofs to graph theory, graph algorithms, and enumeration. Development began as part of a 2007 Inquiry Based Learning workshop.

The problem set includes opportunities to consider creating definitions (e.g., define what is a graph). Many problems are inserted to provide opportunities to experiment with concepts before asking for proofs. Many properties are expected to be discovered by way of the problems, so that students will learn to conjecture as well as prove.
